Real Estate At A Glance: Total Summit County sales

It looks like 2012 will break the three-year string of declining values in Summit County. There have never been more than three down or flat years in a row in this market since 1985. The number of sales is up by nearly 13 percent over last year to date. At this rate, sales should be back to the 20-year average by 2014. The average price is about where it would be absent the bubble of 2006 to 2009.

About 2,050 properties are for sale this week, 300 (13 percent) fewer than this week last year.
