Riansohek: Thanks to Summit County
Ryan Summerlin October 9, 2012
The waiting is over. On July 23, thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor and family, I answered the phone call that would save my life. After a diagnosis of liver cancer and over two years on the transplant list, I beat the clock before my cancer spread. Thanks to the skills and talents of the Porter Hospital Liver Transplant team, I am on the road to recovery.
Thanks to my friends, family and support system for their efforts to get me there. Your thoughts, prayers, transportation, errands, cards, calls, candles, cooking and good wishes mean the world to me.
I hope to be back in Summit County before the snow sticks, and cross-country skiing when it does. To my loyal clients who face the winter with peeling paint: thank you for your patience. I plan to be back on the job next summer.
I am truly blessed to be one of only 6,500 patients a year nationwide to receive this gift of life – and to live in community that makes that life worth living. Sincerely,
Rhino Painting, Breckenridge
