Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation banquet Saturday

The Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation will host its 22nd annual Summit County Chapter banquet Saturday at the Silverthorne Pavilion to celebrate its members with plentiful raffles and giveaways.
During the social hour, there will be drawings, raffles, games, drinks and a silent auction. Dinner begins at 6 p.m. and a live auction will follow.
Tickets for the event are still available and can be purchased online, according to Sean Shepherd, wildlife manager for Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
Single tickets for the event are $90, but bulk ticket purchases are also offered. The “Monarch Bull” tables are available for a group of eight, and includes eight meals, four memberships, and a gun to be kept or raffled within the table group.
Funds from the banquet will help the foundation, which has more than 180,000 members nationwide, toward maintaining hunting seasons, licenses and hunting ranges.
The organization is responsible for more than 632,000 acres of previously off-limits land now open to public hunting.
