‘Snow White’ comes to the Riverwalk Center Tuesday

A whimsical rendition of “Snow White” comes to the Riverwalk Center Tuesday for the final performance of the 2012 Imagination Express kids’ series, presented by the Town of Breckenridge.
The interactive theatrical family production involves participation by audience members, some of whom are selected to play specific parts onstage with costumes and props, though “the emphasis is placed on the entire audience participating with sound effects, gestures and songs,” master storyteller Pamela Clifton said.
Clifton’s company, The Playmakers, has offered touring plays and educational workshops since 1981, primarily during the school year when they visit schools around Colorado.
“I have been coming to Breckenridge each summer for about seven years,” Clifton said. Recent productions have included “Alice in Wonderland,” “Treasure Island” and “Jack and the Beanstalk.”
The twist on “Snow White” features “talking rabbits, a nervous mirror and a whole new set of dwarves, including Dirty Dwarf! The whole family will delight in this whimsical version, especially when they find themselves as part of the show,” organizers said.
Formerly known as Kidz Calliope, Imagination Express is an affordable family series featuring a variety of performances highlighting top acts in children’s entertainment. It is sponsored by the Summit Daily News, Beaver Run Resort, Colorado Mountain Express, Parent’s Handbook to Summit County, TV8 Summit and LIFT 106.
