The Summit Democrats’ Election 2012 Celebration & Volunteer Appreciation Night begins at 7:30 tonight at the Backcountry Brewery, 720 Main St. in Frisco. Enjoy music from The Pine Beetles while you watch national, state and local election returns in the company of kindred spirits.

The Summit County Caregiver and Memory Loss Support Group now meets the first Tuesday of every month at the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco at 1 p.m., and at Father Dyer Methodist Church, Breckenridge at 6:30 the same day. The group is a gathering of folks that care for loved ones at home, in facilities or from a distance. Participants share their successes and struggles and work together to find resources that benefit caregivers. Once a quarter, there is an expert presentation on a relevant topic for the group. Drop- ins are welcomed. This is a no-fee event sponsored by the Summit Seniors, The Council on Aging and the Colorado Alzheimer’s Association. For details, call (970) 584-0311. Team Summit Colorado is hosting orientation on Saturday from 1-3 p.m. at the Summit County Community and Senior Center in Frisco. This is an informative session about Team Summit Colorado, and also a great time to meet some coaches, team members and Team Summit families.
