Join the High Country Snowmobile Club on Sunday from 5-9 p.m. at the Backcountry Brewery in Frisco to kick off the winter with a bang. We will be premiering the new “Boondockers 9” video and giving away amazing prizes all evening, including a BCA 22 Float Throttle Backpack, a Skidoo Race Jacket, a BCA Dozer shovel, copies of the movie and tons of other gear. The event is free for members and $5 for non-members and all of the local snowmobile shops will be there.The club is a not-for-profit organization that protects, preserves and promotes snowmobiling in Summit County. Calling all parents! Do you work or want to ski on the weekends and struggle to find affordable child care? The Breckenridge Recreation Center is offering weekend day care! Each day, your child will enjoy a healthy snack (provided) and activities that are designed to give your child structure and fun to their weekend! Activities will include swimming, climbing, gym games, ice skating, Nordic skiing, arts & crafts and local field trips. Upcoming mini camp dates include Saturday and Dec. 22 & 29. Ridge St., in Breckenridge from 7:30-9 p.m. This talk explores the history of the TM technique, how Vedic science and the leading edge of modern physics, the mind and body, and the technique itself, all weave together to support health, awareness and enrich our potential for enlightenment.
The FIRC Bag Shop will be open Saturdays until Christmas from 1-4 p.m. in Suite 22 at La Riva Mall in Dillon. Get unique holiday gifts and help the community. All bags are made from donated material by volunteers and 100 percent of sales are donated to the FIRC’s emergency assistance and food bank programs.

Pierce defended his first-place green chili title by placing first again in the green chili category, and won first place in the red chili category.
