The Summit County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) is pleased to announce that Chelsea Christianson of Frisco is this year’s recipient of the SCSO Citizenship Award Scholarship. The award was presented by Sheriff John Minor at last night’s Summit High School local scholarship presentations.
Chelsea was selected by members of the Sheriff’s Citizens Advisory Committee from a field of over 50 applications. The committee based their selection upon criteria including a high ethical standard, outstanding citizenship, serving as an exemplary peer role model, notable public service and displaying individual courage or fortitude in the face of adversity or peer pressure.
As part of what has become an annual tradition, Minor presented Christiansen with a package of doughnuts and a sheriff’s office hat in addition to the scholarship award.
