Summit Up 1-25-13: We still can’t believe the Broncos lost
Ryan Summerlin January 25, 2013
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that is trying to figure out what to do with this itty-bitty, teensy-weensy space.
We had a plan to wax long about several important events throughout the world – and more importantly, Summit County – but the world of newspapering is not a forgiving place. It seems the man in charge (or lady, we’re really not sure) had more pressing items listed for our finite piece of real estate better known as the ol’ SDN. We’re not complaining, it’s just that we’d been eyeing this big ol’ hole that was to be Summit Up and had sketched a plethora of possibilities for how we would go about filling the space. The shocking rise in detergent thefts? Not really enough space to wax philosophical now. The travesty that was the Broncos-Ravens game? We know it’s two weeks old, but we still can’t get over that loss …
Millions of Summit Up Readers: Really, you’re still worked up over a little football game half a month later? Perhaps you need to reassess your priorities.
SU: We know, it’s beginning to border on obsession. But being how our veins are chalk full of the ol’ orange and blue, it’s tough to let it go. Maybe we should try therapy? We’re not really sure right now.
We suppose that we’ll just have to watch the Pro Bowl this weekend and be content with that.
