Summit Up 1-27-13: Really, Time Magazine? Really?
Ryan Summerlin January 27, 2013
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that is wondering just what Time Magazine was thinking back in 1938.
The storied publication named Adolf Hitler its man of the year. We had heard rumor of this strange choice before, but never gave it much thought, that was until we were “doing research” at our desk (really just surfing the ol’ interwebs) when we ran across the website www.interestingfacts.net. The site is chalk full of all kinds of useless knowledge – just the kind we like.
This made us think of the Saturday Night Live sketchs where Seth Meyers and Amy Poehler used to rif on news items that seemed a bit absurd.
The gist of this ramble is that when we saw this little tidbit about Time, all we could think was: “Really, Time Magazine? Really?”
Well, that’s about all we’ve got today. We hear that it just might snow today and highly recommend that you head out and take advantage of Ullr’s bounty.
