Summit Up 10-12-12: Where we’re about as useful as, well, a piece of paper
Ryan Summerlin October 11, 2012
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that’s trying oh-so-hard to squeeze into this teeny-tiny space and trying to stand out just as much as those Boy Scouts up above us.
We feel a wee bit pressured, having such magnitude on our shoulders as a bunch of Boy Scouts doing the world all kinds of favors – including learning how to be quality community members.
This column, on the other hand, isn’t quite so noble, nor held in such regard as youth on their way to greatness. Instead, we muse on grammar, on how to heat our Summit Up headquarters – and speculating on what we should call said world headquarters – on lost dogs, on who provides the best sports bar experience, and so on. See? Not so noble as a bunch of Boy Scouts on a hill.
All that is to say that, well, we’re about out of space here and we’ve done nothing to prove our nobility
to you. Maybe we’ll take a stab at it tomorrow when we reappear.
Meanwhile, have a great Friday!
