Summit Up 12-28-12: Where we’re hearkening Christmas angels
Ryan Summerlin December 27, 2012
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that’s glad to know ’tis the season for giving within this community. We’ve even got two Angel Alerts to show it!
From Mary McGlaughlin of Birmingham, Ala: “We want to thank the father-son duo of Dave and David who helped my son, daughter and me stuck in a snowdrift Christmas Eve on Overlook Drive. We were headed to our hotel when our Prius stopped on a hill due to snow and drifted backwards into the drift.
“We were stuck! First efforts to free us were unsuccessful, so they went home and came back with more tools! Second efforts were successful, and then Dave drove the car for us to the hotel, so we didn’t have to drive again on the snow covered road. We are so grateful for our Christmas guardian angels.”
Another Christmas angel appeared on Christmas Eve in the form of Kelly Foote of Foote’s Rest in Frisco:
“Christmas Eve morning began sad, but because of the staff at the Foote’s Rest Eatery tent in Frisco, things turned around. They were accomodating and made my husband and I feel like we were a family. Not only is the food excellent there, but the service surpasses all. It was a great and memoriable experience. And their butter balls are amazing, just like in London! They are our angels because their amazing kindness stayed within throughout the day. Get their donuts too! YUMMM!!!!”
Thus says Mary Hills of Dillon.
