Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that thinks, make that knows, we live in a great and caring community thanks in part to Lord of the Mountains church.

In recognition of the many services provided during the Colorado wildfires last summer, as well as after Hurricane Sandy, Lord of the Mountains Lutheran Church recently took up a special offering to benefit the American Red Cross. Pastor Joe Holub and Paul Hage from LOTM presented a check in the amount of $1,800 to Jody Acres, area manager for the American Red Cross. Included in the amount was $400 from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans.

We also have a Smarty Pants Alert! going out to Cooper Krause of Breckenridge, who just graduated from Montana State University with highest honors, meaning he finished with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.7. Way to go Cooper! Best of luck to you in the future.
