Summit Up 2-26-13: That age-old debate
Ryan Summerlin February 25, 2013
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that wants to talk to you about the difference between cats and dogs.
That’s right, we’re bringing up the age-old debate, and we’re curious about your take on things too.
MILLIONS OF SUMMIT UP READERS: But don’t you think your time could be better spent ruminating on life’s deeper questions, such as whether or not humans can colonize the moon, or what really happened to the dinosaurs?
Well, maybe, but we don’t have enough room for that, so we’re going to stick with topic one: Dogs vs. Cats.
Our cat defenders in the office claim that their fluffy felines’ independence is a plus, as well as their ability to look after themselves over the weekend while momma is in Vegas.
The dog people, on the other hand, insist that the unconditional love they get from their pooches far outweighs any inconvenience of dogsitters and late-night all-weather walks.
It’s a debate that has lasted centuries and will no doubt last centuries more. But whether you curl up with Fluffy or Fido, you’re bound to stay warm this winter. And with that, we’re out.
