Summit Up 4-2-13: Are those monkeys?
Ryan Summerlin April 1, 2013
Good morning and welcome to Summit Up, the world’s only daily column that is trying to remember exactly what decade it is today.
You see, we got a whole slew of colorful and entertaining pics from around the county yesterday. It seems that there was a preponderance of neon greens, pinks and purples rolling over the hills in celebration of the first of April. From the accounts we received here at the ol’ Summit Up World Headquarters, it was a fun day for all involved. If we could only figure out how to phone this here column and all the other aspects of the fish wrapper you’re currently reading, we could partake in some of the unique events that make The Summit such a great place to live.
One idea that we’ve been floating to the man in charge (with little to no success so far) has been to buy a gaggle of monkey (not really sure what a group of monkeys is called, but we figure if it works for geese, it works for monkeys) and train them to handle our daily responsibilities. Just think how smoothly the day would go; all that would be needed is a bushel of bananas.
Imagining monkeys sitting at our desks … chaos quickly erupts as the primates begin hanging from the rafters and start throwing the our keyboards and other items.
On second thought, that probably wouldn’t work. Well, if you’ve got any better ideas, shoot them our way: summit
That’s all we’ve got for today. Catch ya on the flip side.
