Erin Pheilspecial to the daily

Did you know your iPad can take screenshots? It most definitely can. (For those of you unsure as to what I’m referring to when I say screenshot, I simply mean a snapshot of whatever is on the screen of your iPad at any point in time.)Taking a screenshot on your iPad is easy. Here’s how you do it:1) Browse to the screen that you want to take a snapshot of.2) At the same time, press the on/off switch on the top of the iPad and the circular center “home” button. That’s it! A picture of your screen has just been stored in “Photos.” You can email the photo to someone, sync it to your computer via iTunes or whatever else you’d like with it now.Wasn’t that easy?

1. http://StoryBird.com – Short, art-inspired stories you can make for sharing, reading and printing. Perfect for creative, artsy, social folk (young and old alike). Make sure you visit the Tour page and watch the short video for a proper intro.2. http://tinyurl.com/7c49kcx – A quick (minute-and-a-half) video that offers some great ideas on optimizing your daily efficiency through easy tweaks to your email correspondence habits.3. http://tinyurl.com/828vkop – WOW. Technology is amazing. This video from earlier in 2012 shows Cathy Huthinson (a quadriplegic for 15 years) steering a robotic arm towards a bottle. The arm them picks up the bottle and allows her to drink from it. How does it work? Via a sensor implanted in Cathy’s brain that “reads” her thoughts. 4. http://pivothead.com/ – Finally! Sunglasses that record video. I’m not going to go into the creepy applications. Let’s all just agree that these are exclusively for extreme athletes and outdoorspeople who want to relive their best hikes.Erin Pheil is the owner of timeforcake creative media – the Web Design & Strategy company voted #1 in Best of Summit.
