Ryan Summerlin January 3, 2013
The town of Frisco has received a award for its comprehensive annual financial report. The Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada awarded the certificate of achievement for excellence in financial reporting to Frisco for its comprehensive annual financial report ending Dec. 31.
The achievement is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The award is judged by an impartial panel to meet the high standards of the program, including demonstrating a constructive “spirit of full disclosure” to clearly communicate its financial story and motivate potential users and user groups to read the report.
This is the fourth year in a row that Frisco has won the award.
