Summit County’s weather patterns may be a little backwards this year, with warm, spring-like weather in April giving way to rain and even snow showers in May.

But the weather may dry out again early this week, after continued storms and moisture today, according to forecasts from the National Weather Service.

There is a 50 percent chance of rain today, with the standard-fare thunderstorms possible this afternoon.

The showers could continue overnight, with a 40 percent chance of precipitation, according to the NWS forecast.

The clouds are expected to clear out Monday and Tuesday, making room for sunny skies and warmer temperatures with very little wind.

Temperatures are expected to remain fairly mild. Today’s high could climb into the low 50s, while the mercury is expected to inch up to the high 50s Monday and the low to mid-60s on Tuesday.
