On May 15, I was driving into town at about 7:30 p.m. when I noticed a huge cloud of dust. As I drove farther, I noticed two young ladies working for the town, with backpack blowers blowing all kinds of dust, trash and debris out into the street from the sidewalk areas. Cars parked at the curb and local business fronts as well as drivers in the street were subject to massive quantities of airborne dirt and debris. Totally unacceptable. The blower operators had no dust masks or ear protection that I could see. Why not use water to flush off these areas like Steamboat, Sun Valley and other considerate snow towns? Also, why is the town spending thousands of dollars on flagstone type pavers, which are self-destructing within months of installation. Simply look at the median on Highway 9 by 7-11 if you want to see pavers recently installed already in need of replacement. They have been used all over town. Lastly, the weed and trash-infested medians on the way into town — is this a priority for the town?
