Support quality, independent journalism for Summit County

Contribute to community journalism

As a Summit Daily News reader, you make our work possible. This year, we have two community-focused projects for which we’re seeking support.

Historic newspaper digitization project

Summit Daily is embarking on a multiyear project to digitize its archives going back to 1989 and make them available to the public in partnership with the Colorado Historic Newspapers Collection. The full project is expected to cost about $165,000. Summit Daily is partnering on fundraising efforts with Summit County government, Summit County Libraries and Friends of the Summit County Libraries.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Donations to Summit Daily News are not tax deductible.

Spanish-language news project

Summit Daily News is partnering with Summit Foundation and Mountain Dreamers to make local news available to Spanish-speaking residents of Summit County. The project is starting small with a weekly news update video to be distributed on social media, but we hope to grow the program to include translated articles, e-newsletters and native Spanish-language reporting.

This project needs community support to grow. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a difference. Donations to Summit Daily News are not tax deductible.
