A new art exhibit is now open to the public through August. Called “Bloom: To Flourish or Thrive,” the show of local artwork is housed in the Art Forum display space, located on the upper level of the Summit County Commons, adjacent to the Summit County Library.

“We asked local artists what ‘bloom’ means to them, and we received an interesting range of interpretations,” said Art Forum program assistant Karen LeCocq Bailey in a press release. “A photo narrative of a little girl blooming into a strong and happy being, floral details, springtime scenery and the thriving and growing live music scene in Summit County are among the entries.”

Artists featured in “Bloom” include photographer Alisa Messeroff, painter and sculpture artist Jeremy Greene, photographer Amy Marie Dlubac, watercolor painter Sandi Bruns, portrait artist Cecelia Eidemiller, photographer C.J. Sullivan, painter Deb Evans, Emilie Wood, watercolor painter Emily Wahl, photographer Jenise Jensen, photographer Sienna Hayes, photographer Karen Shackles, mixed-media artist Joanne Stolen, fiber artist Keats Scott and Kia Neill.

The Summit County Commons is open to the public Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, 1-5 p.m.
