The Breckenridge Backstage Theatre will present the premiere regional appearance of The Jerseys, a dynamic singing group that pays tribute to Franki Valli and the Four Seasons in an interactive and highly energetic show. The one-night-only performance is Saturday, July 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the Summit Middle School Auditorium in Frisco.
Get ready for an evening of nostalgia and fun as The Jerseys bring back the sounds of yesteryear with songs by one of the most sought-after vocal groups ever assembled. In their career, the Four Seasons sold an estimated 100 million records worldwide, and before The Beatles came around, they were the most popular singing group in the world.
The Jerseys are composed of familiar Denver theater showmen Brian Walker Smith, Paul Dwyer, Klint Rudolph and Randy St. Pierre and backed by a live band, featuring Donna Debreceni on keyboards. Performers Smith, Dwyer and St. Pierre spent years at the cherished, now closed, County Dinner Playhouse, and Rudolph also performed there, as well as the Garner Galleria Theatre at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.
This tight ensemble brings back the harmonic, old-time sounds with songs such as “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man,” ‘Rag Doll,” “Oh, What a Night,” “Stay” and many more. Their second set will include fun pop songs from the ’60s — songs from a time of kissing at the drive in and falling in love.
The Boatyard American Grill, located at 304 Main St. in Frisco, is sponsoring The Jerseys’ appearance in Summit County and offering happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. prior to the show. Visit http://www.backstagetheatre.org for tickets and more information about this and other presentations from the Breckenridge Backstage Theatre.
