On the mountain

Arapahoe Basin — An on-mountain worship service occurs every Sunday in the “Chapel Trees,” just below Black Mountain Lodge at the top of the High Noon/Sundance split, at 1 p.m.

Breckenridge — At 6 a.m. on Easter Sunday, load the Quicksilver lift on Peak 9 at Breckenridge Ski Resort up to a special location at 10,000 feet for a free sunrise Easter service. No lift ticket is required; however, ski equipment will not be allowed up the chair and you must by on the lift by 6:10 a.m. Coffee and pastries will be available for purchase on location at TenMile Station. Copper Mountain — Ride the American Eagle Chairlift at Copper Mountain Resort to the Nature Center behind Solitude Station for an Easter service that starts at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, April 20. Easter-related events around the county

In celebration of spring, the High Country Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will present poetry and classical violin music by Natalie Koob and Angela Janzen on Sunday, April 20, at 4 p.m. at Lord of the Mountains Church, Fellowship Hall. Attendees are asked to bring a cut flower to share. Lord of the Mountains is located at 56 U.S. Highway 6 and Evergreen Road in Dillon. Call (970) 333-7878 for more information.

Father Dyer United Methodist Church, located at 310 Wellington Road in Breckenridge, will host a children’s Easter egg hunt after its 9 a.m. Easter service on Sunday, April 20. Nursery and Sunday School will be provided during the service. Call (970) 453-2250 for more information.

The Church at Agape Outpost, located at 15404 Highway 9 in Breckenridge, is holding an Easter Egg-stravaganza on Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event will include food, games, crafts, an egg hunt and a walk through the life of Christ scavenger hunt. For more information, call (970) 453-1247.

Easter meals, trivia at Dillon Dam Brewery

The Dillon Dam Brewery will be serving up brunch on Easter Sunday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with bagels and lox, Southwest scrambles, cinnamon French toast and huevos rancheros. Come back in the evening for Easter dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. for smoked ham, tri-color potatoes and asparagus for $15.95.

The Dam will also host a live trivia night with Steven A on Wednesday, April 23, at 9 p.m. Win fun Dam prizes at the event, which is sponsored by Crown Royal and features $5 Crown drinks. There’s no cover. Now on tap for the spring, the brewery is pouring its Exit 205 Session Ale, a very light and dry blonde ale with citrus flavors.

Open House at Mountain

Top Children’s Museum

The Mountain Top Children’s Museum, located at 605 S. Park Ave. in Breckenridge, will host an open house on Tuesday, April 22, from 5 to 8 p.m. This is an adults-only event to explore the museum’s exhibits and learn about its plans to improve and expand. Expect to spend about 30 minutes participating in exhibit activities; appetizers and drinks will be provided.

Each adult will receive a key at the door that could unlock the treasure chest of goodies. Complimentary childcare will be provided. RSVP will questions or to reserve childcare by calling (970) 453-7878.

Weekly open mic, trivia at MotherLoaded

Moose will host an evening of open mic antics and live entertainment at the MotherLoaded Tavern in Breckenridge on Monday, April 21. Musicians from near and far will get together to rock the house with fresh, new music. Grab your guitar, drum or whatever rocks your world and show Breckenridge what you’ve got. The jamming starts at 9:30 p.m., and there’s no cover.

The MotherLoaded also holds its weekly trivia night on Tuesday, April 22. Live hosts get questions together to work your brain; get a group and test your knowledge, with prizes handed out for the smartest ones of the night. Trivia starts at 9:30 p.m., and there’s no cover.
