Breckenridge Ski Resort will operate through Memorial Day so the mountain is having an extended party to celebrate the longer season. Beginning April 22, skiers and riders can enjoy music and games at the base of Peak 7 for Breck’s Spring Finale.

Beach games, like snow volleyball, will take place every day of the week while the music will happen only on Saturdays and Sundays. A mobile snowcat DJ will also be traversing the slopes each weekend playing tunes.

Though there is no pond skimming event this year, for the first time Breckenridge will host a rail jam on Angel’s Rest trail. Prizes range from $100-$700 and it costs $10 to register, with proceeds benefitting Epic Promise. Space is limited and participants must register online, in advance at Breckenridge.com/springfinale. Skiers compete on Saturday, April 27 and snowboarders on Saturday, May 4.

Lastly, Breck’s Spring Finale will feature a Wiggle Run. The run is a terrain feature that twists down the mountain similar in style to a boardercross run. The location is still to be determined, but it will be at the mountain’s high Alpine terrain.

Note that resort hours during Breck’s Spring Finale are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the gondola will not operate after April 28. A complimentary bus service will transport skiers and riders between Breck Station and Peak 7.
