Breckenridge Creative Arts brings back its free outdoor movie series entitled LateNite @ the District on Wednesday evenings, June 22–July 27, from 8–11 p.m. in the Ridge Street Arts Square.

This summer, Breckenridge Creative Arts brings back its free outdoor movie series entitled LateNite @ the District. The program takes place on Wednesday evenings, June 22–July 27, from 8–11 p.m. in the Ridge Street Arts Square, located downtown at the corner of Washington and Ridge Streets on the Breckenridge Arts District campus. LateNite runs for six consecutive Wednesday nights and features screenings of popular, cult and classic films, preceded by family activities on the lawn and short films from the Breckenridge Film Festival.

"BreckCreate put together a great LateNite community program last year with the participation of Breck Film Fest," said Janice Kurbjun, executive director of the film festival, in a statement. "We are excited to continue and enhance this partnership program this year — and introduce local audiences to what we do — with more short film favorites."

Featured films, which will screen at 9 p.m. on their respective nights, include: "American Flyers," "Goldfinger," "Minions," "Happy Gilmore," "High Noon" and "Groundhog Day."

In addition to the cinematic offerings during LateNite, select campus studios will be open late each night with art-making activities for children.

"We're very excited to bring back LateNite this summer," said Jenn Cram, director of public programs and engagement for Breckenridge Creative Arts, in a statement. "This is a program the whole family can enjoy and offers our guests an opportunity to see all that the Arts District campus has to offer, both inside and outside our studios."

Attendees to LateNite are encouraged to pack a picnic or buy supper from one of the areas restaurants, bring blankets or low-back lawn chairs for seating and enjoy a great night of entertainment in the district. Pre-movie family activities on the lawn begin at 8 p.m., with short films from the Breckenridge Film Festival screened at 8:45 p.m.; each night's feature film begins at 9 p.m. Guests are also welcomed to bring their own soft drinks; however, no alcoholic beverages will be permitted. Popcorn is available onsite.
