Friday, June 24

New Monsoon will play a free show at the Dillon Amphitheatre at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24. San Francisco rock quintet New Monsoon is the collaborative vehicle for the vocal and instrumental prowess of founding members Bo Carper (acoustic guitar and banjo), Jeff Miller (electric guitar) and Phil Ferlino (keys). Now well into its second decade of national touring, the band also features the muscular rhythm section of Marshall Harrell (electric bass) and Michael Pinkham (drums).

DxJ in Dillon

After the New Monsoon show, head over to the Lake Dillon Tavern for an after-party with Dassaro x Jeraff (DxJ), Friday June 24. DxJ is a Denver-based MC/DJ duo that blends unique styles of dance-infused samples along with hip-hop beats, creating a sound that is individual, energetic and delivers soul. The collective has made a big name for themselves at a rapid speed in the Colorado music scene. Joining DxJ for the night is Transfer Station, an electronic-rock-funk-hip-hop, DJ-guitar duo, from Denver. Doors open at 9 p.m. and there is a $5 cover. Snake hosts party rock band

Sing along and dance to your favorite songs from the ’80s through 2000s all night long with RePlay, a party-rock band based in Golden, Colorado. Anything from Bon Jovi and Kid Rock to Neil Diamond is in their ever-expanding song list. Some songs are performed straight off the record, but many are “Re-Played” with their own unique twist. The Brown welcomes El Paso Lasso

El Paso Lasso will play The Brown Hotel in Breckenridge Friday, June 24. El Paso Lasso is an energetic, versatile and loveable cover band. Hot Buttered Rum in Dillon

Hot Buttered Rum will play the Dillon Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 25. Hot Buttered Rum lives for a good time, and a mindful recklessness settles in whenever these five guys step on stage. From Anchorage to Miami, the group’s onstage chemistry fuels the lovefest that is a live Butter show. Rooted in the trajectory of west coast bluegrass, Hot Buttered Rum plays what has been described as California’s own acoustic music. Show starts at 7 p.m.

The Snake hosts Matt Spinks Band

The Matt Spinks Band, rock and roll dance specialists, will take the stage at the Snake River Saloon in Keystone Saturday, June 25. Doors open at 4 p.m., and the music starts at 9:30. Call (970) 468-2788 for more information.

Larry n The Losers in Breckenridge

The Brown Hotel hosts Larry n The Losers on Saturday, June 25. Larry n The Losers is a six-piece band that plays a variety of cover songs and a sprinkling of original music. The band plays an eclectic mix of covers ranging from classic rock and blues of decades past to more modern folk Americana. Music is from 9 p.m. to midnight. Happy hour music at Keystone Lodge & Spa

Doug Roessel returns to Keystone Lodge and Spa for his fourth season of Poolside Happy Hour every Saturday from 3– 5 p.m. (weather permitting). Douglas Roessel is the director and guitar, bass and drum instructor at the Summit Academy of Rock, a Summit County small business for seven years. Doug has also performed in Denver- and Summit County-based bands for over 25 years. His training in classical music as well as his interests in reggae, ’80s metal, ska as well as a combination of other genres makes for his eclectic sound and style. Live music at Meet the Artists

Local musician Josh Galvin will be performing at the Meet the Artists art show Saturday June 25, from noon to 1 p.m. located on the grounds of the Riverwalk Center. There will be live music with Amy Matheusius and Jesse Porter playing at the Pocket Park (Blue River Plaza) on Sunday from noon until 3 p.m.

DooWop Denny plays in Frisco

DooWop Denny will play the Blue Spruce in Frisco on Sunday afternoons from 4–7 p.m. A lifelong musician, he draws from a deep vein of ’50s/’60s/’70s rock ‘n’ roll history to deliver an authentic, high-energy show, guaranteeing smiling faces and plenty of excitement on the dance floor. Barkley’s is back

The Barkley Ballroom is back in action for the summer on Wednesday, June 29 with the Rumpke Mountain Boys. Bay Area band comes to Frisco

Midnight North will play The Barkley Ballroom on Thursday, June 30. When you come to a Midnight North show, you’ll find Elliott Peck, Grahame Lesh and Alex Jordan sliding into three-part harmonies that are as comfortable as an old pair of jeans. You’ll hear bassist Connor O’Sullivan and new drummer Alex Koford making themselves at home in any groove from a stomp to a slow-burn or boogie. Wonderlic plays the Dillon Dam

Dillon Dam Brewery hosts Wonderlic on Thursday, June 30 at 9:30 p.m. Wonderlic is a funky groove-rock band from Denver featuring Allen Galton on vocals and the 10, 8, & 5 string electric mandolins, James Dare on the Fender bass, Michael Whalen on vocals and electric guitar, and Ryan Elwood on drums and percussion. Their high-energy shows, focusing on original composition and occasional covers, create a positive and upbeat environment for dancers and groovers.
