Today’s top five things to do in Summit County

The third season of Runners on the Summit begins Wednesday, June 8. This youth running club is specifically designed for middle and high school students wanting to get in shape for the fall cross-country season or for students looking to hit the trails for the first time. $37 fee includes registration for the Summit Trail Running Series.

6:30 p.m., Summit County Elks Lodge #2561, 1321 Blue River Parkway. Minimum $10 buy-in plus $1 progressive card. All cash prizes, plus a special raffle for a special independence day prize. All proceeds support the benevolent activities of the Summit County Elks Lodge. Bingo Grill available at 6 p.m.
Guided Wilderness Hike
Breckenridge, June 8
10 a.m., Breckenridge Welcome Center, 203 S Main St. Professional guides lead weekly explorations of the Breckenridge backcountry. From easy to difficult, these hikes entice your senses and teach you all you ever wanted to know about our high alpine home. Children under 4 must be in a carrying pack. $15 per person.

Parents are responsible for having their child on the bus no later than 8:30 a.m. There are no refunds if you miss the bus. The bus will not wait for late children, even if you call ahead.
