Frisco will launch its new Free Frisco Fridays series from 4 to 6 p.m. Friday, July 31, with additional dates on Aug. 14, Aug. 28 and Sept. 11. Each Free Frisco Friday will feature musicians, street performers and artists outside along Main Street.

Vanessa Agee, director of marketing and communications for the town of Frisco, said a group of Frisco merchants came to the town with an idea to expand on the June and December Merchant Walks by bringing artists and musicians outside onto Main Street during the summer months.

“It was a no-brainer for the town to collaborate and have a little fun with it by offering up the most unique outdoor happy hour in Summit County,” she said. “You could stroll all of Main Street checking out every performer or potentially settle down on one of Frisco’s many restaurant patios while watching and listening to performers.”

During the inaugural Free Frisco Friday, Frisco’s Main Street will host musicians Alex Mabey and Drew Reges, a stilt walker, a fire juggler, two face-painting artists and two balloon artists. Mabey said she’s looking forward to the inaugural event.

“Frisco has such an awesome main street that I’m sure I’m going to be having a good time,” she said. “I like to connect with people who stop by and listen to the art that I have and give me some sort of feedback. I always gain something every time I play. I try to grow each time I play, and I love it when people are out in the good weather having a good time and listening to good music.”
