The best of Colorado’s late-summer season comes to Keystone’s River Run Village on Friday, Aug. 21, and Saturday, Aug. 22, with the return of the Mountain Town Music Festival. The combination of nationally known bands and musicians with the fresh Colorado harvest of Palisade peaches, sweet corn and melons serves up a tasty way to celebrate the end of summer in the Rocky Mountains.
“Last year, we created the Mountain Town Music Festival to complement our lineup of incredible summer festivals and to bring top-name national acts and up-and-coming musicians to Keystone,” said Maja Russer, director of marketing and events for the Keystone Neighbourhood Co., the festival’s producer. “This year, we’re excited that we’re raising the bar again with the quality of music and food.”
The musical lineup for the second-ever Mountain Town Music Festival includes Delta Rae, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Roger Clyne & the Peacemakers, David Wax Museum, Mosey West and Miner.
The music is free with free admission to the festival and parking is also free. Food and drinks are available at a la carte prices, including the best of the Colorado harvest from sweet peaches, juicy melons and fresh sweet corn to Colorado elk and venison.
In true Colorado festival fashion, local artisans showcase their handmade jewelry, clothing, hammocks, artwork and other Colorado festival goodies, and a fireworks display will light up the sky on Friday night over River Run Village.
