Keystone Resort’s Ski Tip Lodge, named sixth-best restaurant in the country by http://www.opentable.com, recently introduced Jordan Alley as the establishment’s new executive chef. Alley, a 2009 graduate of Colorado Mountain College and former Ski Tip Lodge sous chef, brings 10 years of culinary experience to his new role.

“I’m truly excited to serve as the Ski Tip Lodge’s executive chef,” Alley said. “This is a homecoming of sorts, as I’ve previously spent time with the Ski Tip where I was able to gain first-hand insight into the award-winning restaurant.

“I look to continue in the tradition of creating a remarkable dining experience for guests while they visit Keystone. The Ski Tip Lodge presents the perfect opportunity for me to continue exploring my passion and joy for the culinary arts.”

Most recently, Alley served as sous chef with Z-Cuisine in Denver, following time spent as the sous chef of Ski Tip Lodge, chef de partie of Fruition Restaurant in Denver and chef de partie of Bouchon in Las Vegas. Alley’s experience also includes five years of increasing culinary expertise and responsibility as part of Colorado Mountain College’s apprenticeship program with Keystone Resort.

The Ski Tip Lodge is a former 1800s stagecoach stop that has been transformed into a quaint bed and breakfast. Once the personal home of Keystone Resort founders, Max and Edna Dercum, the Ski Tip Lodge’s four-course dinner menu is rotated daily and consistently receives high reviews regarding its innovate entrees and quality service.

Diners voted the restaurant No. 6 on Open Table’s 2014 Top 100 Restaurants in America, compiled from more than 5 million reviews of more than 20,000 restaurants across the country. Additionally, the Ski Tip has consistently taken home top honors from the Summit Daily News as the county’s favorite restaurant.

Alley will kick off his tenure at the Ski Tip on Sunday, June 14, at 6 p.m. with a six-course showcase dinner, including a meet and greet to begin the evening. Alley’s showcase is just one of many culinary events at the Ski Tip Lodge this summer, including Summer Après every day from 3 to 5 p.m., Sunshine and Wine tastings on Sundays July 12, Aug. 2 and 30 and Sept. 13 and Wine Dinners on Monday, July 20; Friday, Aug. 21; and Friday, Sept. 18.
