A-Basin's concert series continues

Arapahoe Basin's free Spring Concert Series welcomes Whitewater Ramble on Saturday, June 4 from 1–4 p.m. outside in the Base Area Plaza. Described as "High-Octane Rocky Mountain DanceGrass," Whitewater Ramble (WWR) uses a simple recipe to craft its sound: start with bluegrass instrumentation, add drums and finish with a boundary-less approach to grassing-up everything from disco house grooves to roots to Americana. The Colorado-bred quintet combines the elements of mandolin, fiddle, acoustic guitar, upright bass, drums and vocals to explore the musical boundaries of multiple genres and to fuel their own mixture of original music and innovative cover song interpretations. Whether playing an intimate encore, acoustic and unplugged in the crowd or surfing on top of the upright bass, Whitewater Ramble delivers a powerful and memorable live performance. Sunday, June 5

Local band plays A-Basin concert series

Arapahoe Basin's free Spring Concert Series welcomes Summit County's own High Five on Sunday, June 5 from 1–4 p.m. outside in the Base Area Plaza. Somewhere in-between the majestic altitude of Colorado's highest peaks and the jubilation of homegrown music, Summit County's own High 5 has found a synergy that transmutes what may first appear like a traditional jammin' performance into a sensorially-heightened experience. The four-piece ensemble co-creates new harmonic atmospheres every time the stage beckons. It's not just another "jam band." The High 5 emits prime-form family vibes. Each experience is inspired and musically different from every other show. However, if there's one thing that never changes, it's the general feeling of "good times with good friends" that constantly persists throughout each and every High 5 show.
