Odell Brewing introduces Barrel Aged Imperial India Pale Ale
On Monday, June 1, Odell Brewing will release its latest Cellar Series offering, Barrel Thief, an imperial India pale ale aged in medium toast American oak barrels. Barrel Thief features a variety of American hops, including whole-flower Equinox. It's also dry-hopped with the experimental HBC 472 variety. The brew boasts bright notes of tropical and stone fruits, enhanced by hints of vanilla, dried fruit and toasted nut from the oak barrels.
"Huge oak flavors pair well with all the tropical fruits that can be attributed to the massive amount of hops used," said Brent Cordle, pilot brew and barrel aging manager.
Odell Brewing will celebrate the release of Barrel Thief in the brewery's taproom, located at 800 East Lincoln Ave. in Fort Collins, from Friday, May 29, through Sunday, May 31, when visitors can sample the brew, try local food truck pairings and listen to live music. Barrel Thief will be available in 750-milliliter, cork-and-cage-finished bottles throughout the brewery's 11 state distribution footprint beginning in June. Oskar Blues brings back Burning Can Festival
Oskar Blues Brewery's Burning Can Fest returns to celebrate canned craft beers in the brewery's original hometown of Lyons on Saturday, May 30. More than 60 craft breweries will be serving up everything that craft beer-in-a-can offers: fresh, easily portable and earth-friendly. The all-day festival also includes the Lyons Outdoor Games, The Beer Relay and live tunes. New Orleans-based soul & blues act The Revivalists will continue the party with a free concert after the beer tasting.

The beer fest part of Burning Can will take place from 4 to 7 p.m., with live music starting at 5 p.m. General admission tickets are $45 and include unlimited four-ounce samples, free entry into the Lyons Outdoor Games and The Revivalists concert. Left Hand introduces new Session IPA
Left Hand Brewing Co. recently introduced its new Introvert Session IPA, a year-round offering in 6-packs and on draft. This IPA seeks balance with low ABV at 4.8 percent and a relaxed pace. The beer is brilliant gold in color, with a hop blend of CTZ, Centennial, Cascade, Chinook, Sterling and Comet. Hop aromas of tropical papaya and kiwi with woodsy pine reveal the balanced honey malt and a clean, bitter finish within.
Introvert was developed over the course of six months, testing multiple batches with accounts and fans for feedback, selecting the best hop personalities. Also this summer, Left Hand will release three other 22-ounce IPA offerings in its Big Mo series, including Homefront IPA, Twin Sisters Double IPA and Warrior Fresh Hop IPA.

Vail Cascade announces cellar program, Brewmaster's Weekend
The Vail Cascade Resort & Spa, located at 1300 Westhaven Drive in Vail, will roll out its new craft beer cellar program on Monday, June 15.
The inaugural cellar list includes Elder Brett, Epic Brewing Co., Salt Lake City; La Folie, New Belgium Brewing Co., Fort Collins; Scully No. 24, Paradox Beer Co., Woodland Park; Great Juju, Left Hand Brewing, Longmont; Chocolate Ale, Boulevard Brewing Co., Kansas City, Missouri; Chai Spiced Imperial Russian Stout, Stone Brewing Co., Escondido, California; Not the Stoic, Deschutes Brewery, Bend, Oregon; Barrel Aged Bigfoot, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co., Chico, California; and Myrcenario, Odell Brewing Co., Fort Collins.
The Fireside Bar will carry a single case of each beer, and the list will be perpetually rotating to show rare, limited-release, allocated, iconic, experimental, unique and fun products. The Cascade also will host its first Brewmaster's Weekend of the summer on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, with brewmaster Peter Bouckaert from New Belgium Brewing Co. The weekend begins with a complimentary tasting and a chance to Meet the Brewmaster from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Fireside Bar.
The Small Plates & Craft Beer Pairing will start at 6 p.m. Saturday at Atwater on Gore Creek, featuring a brewmaster-guided tour through four small plates specially designed by the Cascade culinary team to pair with four beers from New Belgium: Snapshot Wheat, Slow Ride Session IPA, Pear Ginger Beer and Cocoa Mole. Discussion will be held between each course with Bouckaert and the chefs.

Anchor Brewing celebrates the 50 years of craft beers
Anchor Brewing Co. recently announced its "Drink Steam" initiative, an invitation to try America's First Craft Beer. The campaign launches as the brewery and its fans celebrate the 50th anniversary of the American Craft Brewing Revolution, led by Fritz Maytag.
"Fifty years ago, Fritz changed an entire industry built on mass production by holding steadfast to traditional brewing techniques and a commitment to quality," said Keith Greggor, current Anchor Brewing CEO and president. "We wanted to celebrate the birth of the Craft Brewing Revolution, Fritz' legacy and introduce a whole new generation of beer lovers to Anchor Steam Beer."
On Aug. 2, 1965, Maytag rushed to buy 51 percent of a struggling San Francisco craft brewery for a few thousand dollars, rescuing Anchor from imminent bankruptcy. Maytag, alongside a team of dedicated brewers, revived Anchor Brewing by employing traditional brewing methods and enforcing strict sanitization methods, raising the quality of the beer. To celebrate this milestone, starting in May, Anchor Steam Beer will boast new packaging depicting a hand-illustrated label by longtime Anchor artist Jim Stitt.
