Summit County celebrates Dia de los Muertos

Dia de los Muertos is officially celebrated on Nov. 1. Breckenridge Creative Arts held a Dia de los Muertos celebration the weekend of Oct. 23-25. On Saturday, Oct. 24, the event held a lighting of candles as the Aztec dance grupo Huitzilopochtli led participants in a procession through the Breckenridge Arts District campus.

Dia de los Muertos, officially celebrated on Nov. 1, is a time of remembrance, sacred tradition, love and bringing the community together. Breckenridge Creative Arts held a Dia de los Muertos celebration the weekend of Oct. 23-25. On Saturday, Oct. 24, the event held a lighting of candles as the Aztec dance group Huitzilopochtli led participants in a procession through the Breckenridge Arts District campus.
