New Belgium Mountain Adventure Dillon, March 7
9 a.m., Arapahoe Basin, 28194 US Highway 6. This is a day to don your best costume, chase chickens, search for bigfoot and answer some ridiculous riddles all while skiing, raising money for the HC3, and bonding with your friends – or the person you meet in the check-in line and decided to sign up as a team. Get a buddy or three, bring $10 per person and your ski pass, or purchase a lift ticket, and join the fleet of New Belgium and Arapahoe Basin characters on the slopes and Elevate your Scavenge Experience.
Tubbs Romp to Stomp Out Breast Cancer Snowshoe SeriesFrisco, March 7
7:30 a.m., Frisco Nordic Center, 616 Recreation Way. The Romp to Stomp event offers participants a morning of celebration, fun and the opportunity to snowshoe on beautiful trails with free use of Tubbs Snowshoes. Rompers come in all ages, genders, and sizes, from the first time snowshoer to the weekend snowshoe warrior, there are reaces for all – 3k and 5k walk, 3k run, and ‘Lil Rompers Dash.
New Volunteer TrainingSilverthorne, March 7
9 a.m., Swan Center Outreach Ranch, 15 miles north of Silverthorne. Come learn what it means to be a part of the Swan Center team. Swan Center Outreach provides leadership and self-awareness programs, with rescued horses, that empower and support youth and adults in the achievement of their life goals, while demonstrating the educational, therapeutic and spiritual value, of a loving relationship with animals. Petits Fours & Petticoats Frisco, March 7
1 p.m., Frisco Historic Park & Museum, 1 Main St. The Breckenridge Heritage Alliance, Frisco Historic Park & Museum, and Summit Historical Society are collaborating on this event in honor of Women’s History Month. View vintage costumes, hear historic stories of women, learn about tea etiquette and enjoy real Victorian tea. Costumes are encouraged. Tickets are $25 per person. The Long RunBreckenridge, March 7
7:30 p.m., Breckenridge Riverwalk Center, 150 W. Adams Ave. A tribute to one of the most iconic bands of the 70’s the EAGLES. This group known for their authentic renditions and beautiful harmonies is composed of the likes of Steve Weinmeister, lead singer for the 70’s multi-platinum recording artist Firefall. The proceeds from the night will go to benefit Domus Pacis’ mission of providing week respites in Summit County for families going through their cancer journey. (970) 547-3179.
