The 31st annual Genuine Jazz & Wine festival continues today for its final day. Sunday's event at Copper Mountain Resort features Kim Waters at noon, and a Sunday brunch buffet from 10 a.m. to noon. There will also be a free show with the SoBo Four at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. in the lobby.

Michael Summers Special Artist Appearance

Breckenridge, Aug. 30

1 p.m., Exclusive Collections Gallery, 421 S. Main St. San Diego based artist Michael Summers inspirations include the art of the late Renaissance and Baroque, the clockwork wonders of turn of the century brass and steam, antiques, vintage 70s and 80s animation and toys, comic books, early science fiction, pulp fiction novels, classic monster movies, American roots music and the dry, dusty land of the Mojave desert.

A stellar line- up with of national jazz talent Peter White, Paul Taylor, Euge Groove, Kim Waters, Nick Colionne, Marc Antoine, Brian Simpson and Dotsero — plus delicious food and wine tastings add up to a smooth mountain getaway.

Rudyard Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’

Breckenridge, Aug. 30

7 p.m. (Agu. 28 & 29) and 4 p.m. (Aug. 30), Breckenridge Riverwalk Center, 150 W. Adams Ave. Rudyard Kipling’s classic tale of Mowgli, the young boy raised in the Indian jungle by a family of wolves, springs to life in a brand new version filled with catchy songs, lively dances, inventive puppetry, and wondrous theatrical spectacle in the tradition of Disney’s The Lion King. Men’s Pucks & Pilsners Hockey Tournament

Breckenridge, Aug. 30

All Day, Stephen C. West Ice Arena, 0189 Boreas Pass Road. Games begin Friday afternoon and run through Sunday with a break Saturday afternoon for Beer Fest. There are no spectator fees.

Tombstone Tales

Breckenridge, Aug. 30

5:30 p.m., Valley Brook Cemetery, 905 Airport Road. Hear the tales of Breckenridge’s past from beyond the grave. Stroll through the cemetery and hear the many fascinating stories of Breckenridge’s first inhabitants. Reservations required. Adults $15; Children $10.
