The Family and Intercultural Resource Center is hosting a Health Insurance Enrollment Walk-In Event on Wednesday, May 11 at 9 a.m. at 251 West 4th Street in Silverthorne. Did you recently lose your health Insurance? You have 60 days before and after to enroll in a health plan. Many people are eligible for tax credits to lower the monthly premium cost. Give FIRC a call at (970) 262-3888 with any questions or email daniellem@summitfirc.org. Other examples of life change events that allow you to enroll in a Health Plan: getting married or divorced; having a baby; being released from incarceration; or a permanent move.

Wilderness First Responder Course

8 a.m., Carter Park, 300 S High St. After successful completion of this course, participants are competent to handle both traumatic and medical emergencies, provide extended care required in a remote environment, and make appropriate evacuation decisions. Includes online course work and 5 days of classroom/field time.
