See The Summit Concert Band’s spring concert on Thursday
The Summit Concert Band will present its annual spring concert on Thursday, May 23, at 7 p.m. at the Silverthorne Pavilion.
The Summit Concert Band, a nonprofit musical arts organization, has been promoting music in Summit County and neighboring areas for over 36 years. The band is open to members of all ages and abilities and is focused on providing quality entertainment at events throughout Summit County and the central Colorado mountain region.
The concert will include a range of music selections including marches like “In the Center Ring,” and “Rough-Riders” along with more complex works such as “In the Forest of the King, A Suite of Old French Folksongs,” “How Firm Thy Friendship” and “All Through the Night.”
It will close with “Highlights from Walt Disney’s Mary Poppins” to send the audience off humming familiar tunes.
Admission is free and there will be a reception with hors d’oeuvres and dessert following the concert, in addition to a cash bar available before, during and after the concert. For more information about the concert or the Summit Concert Band, visit SummitConcertBand.org.
