Told through ABBA’s hit pop songs, “Mama Mia” opens Friday, June 28, at the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center. The jukebox musical follows Sophie Sheridan (played by Gina Ward) on the eve of her wedding in Greece, searching for her biological dad out of three possible options.

Much to the surprise of her mother Donna (played by Mercedes Perez), Sam (Alan Osburn), Harry (Tim Connell) and Bill (Mark Rubald) all accept Sophie’s invitation and show up on the island. The entertaining comedy is one of the longest-running shows in Broadway history and has been adapted into film.

“Mama Mia!” runs from June 28 through Aug. 11 at the center’s Flex Theater, 460 Blue River Parkway. Visit LakeDillonTheatre.org to purchase.
