First Fridays: A monthly tradition in Silverthorne (sponsored)


Live music, delicious food, smiling neighbors and all-around good times — it must be First Friday in Silverthorne.

On the First Friday of every month, the Town of Silverthorne celebrates community culture by hosting timely events that bring locals and visitors together to enjoy our mountain lifestyle. These free events often feature live music and for-purchase food and drinks. For more information about First Fridays, visit and view the “Discover Silverthorne” drop-down menu.

Here’s a look at the Town’s upcoming First Friday events you won’t want to miss in 2019.

March | Trent Park Block Party

March’s First Friday will celebrate our community with a bonfire, food and drinks.  

April | Rail Jam

April’s First Friday will celebrate the end of another ski season with a live rail jam on the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center Lawn.

May | Locals’ Appreciation Party

May’s First Friday will celebrate our locals and visitors that want to feel like a local. In partnership with Locals’ Liquors, the event will include 30+ breweries and distilleries, in addition to food vendors and a live band on the outdoor stage. The event is free and open to the public, but donations are strongly recommended as all proceeds benefit local nonprofits

June | Cycle Silverthorne

June’s First Friday will celebrate cycling in Silverthorne. In partnership with local businesses, the event will include multiple bike vendors, bike tuners and will serve as the official kick off for Cycle Silverthorne month.

July | Art on the Blue Art Festival

July’s First Friday will celebrate the arts in Silverthorne. Join the Summit County Arts Council and the Town of Silverthorne for the second annual Art on the Blue art festival. Featuring over 25 artists from around the state all showcasing their original works, you are sure to find that perfect piece.

August  | Party in the Park

August’s First Friday will be a party in Rainbow Park. Activities will include bounce houses, climbing walls, tumble bubbles and more for the kid, in addition to a nationally touring band (TBD) on the stage. Come out and party in the park with friends and neighbors.

September | Concert, Rainbow Park

September’s First Friday will feature a nationally touring band.

October | Kick Off to Opening Day/Ski Video Premier

November | TBD

December | Holiday Tree Lighting and Festivities

December’s First Friday will celebrate the holiday season. The event will feature Silverthorne’s second annual tree lighting in front of the Silverthorne Performing Arts Center and will also include holiday carolers, photos with Santa, hot chocolate and “story time on the go” at Red Buffalo café, which will be serving up tasty treats. The night will conclude with a Bad Santa party at Angry James Brewery. Don’t miss this night of holiday fun in Silverthorne!
