SILVERTHORNE – A high-speed chase through the mountains ended with a mangled Clear Creek Sheriff’s Office SUV and an 18-year-old girl facing serious charges.
Around 9:53 a.m. Sunday, a Clear Creek deputy pulled over a teenage driver near Georgetown.
Radio dispatch recordings tell the story of a wild ride.
“I’ve got a red SUV. Party is not cooperating [and] not getting out of their vehicle,” a Clear Creek deputy told dispatchers. “They already ran into my vehicle.”
An 18-year-old girl was behind the wheel of that SUV, according to a spokesperson for the Colorado State Patrol.
Clear Creek deputies have not yet released the teenager’s name.
