2012 Philanthropy Awards nominations due

The Summit Foundation is currently accepting nominations for The Summit Foundation Philanthropy Awards. In November, the 22nd annual celebration of National Philanthropy Day in Summit County will honor outstanding philanthropic and volunteer achievements in 10 categories.

Over the past 21 years, 212 individuals, families, community organizations and businesses have been recognized for their generosity and support to our community.

Nominations are being accepted in recognition of outstanding philanthropic and volunteer contributions in 10 categories. The categories are: Outstanding Philanthropist, Outstanding Volunteer, Outstanding Board Member, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Professional in a Nonprofit Organization, Outstanding Youth, Outstanding Youth Mentor, Outstanding Citizen, Outstanding Nonprofit Organization and Outstanding Business.

The event will be held at Beaver Run Resort and Conference Center in Breckenridge from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on Nov. 16.
