21-year-old dies at A-Basin

ARAPAHOE BASIN – A 21-year-old woman from Blue River died at Arapahoe Basin Sunday.

The woman, Emily Morris, had a history of seizures, according to County Coroner Joanne Richardson.

Her boyfriend called 911 when she would not respond to him. She was in the back of his van in the Arapahoe Basin parking lot. Flight for Life paramedics took Morris to St. Anthony’s Hospital in Denver.

Morris was not on the ski mountain when she died. Her parents were notified Sunday. She moved to Summit County from St. Paris, Ohio in June.

Richardson is investigating the cause and manner of death.
