22-year-old skier unconscious after colliding with a tree at Eldora

A 22-year-old woman is being treated for a head injury after she hit a tree skiing at Eldora Mountain Resort Tuesday afternoon.

The woman was skiing on Hot Dog Ally, an intermediate run, when she accidently went off the trail and into the trees, according to Sgt. Mike Dimond of the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

The woman was unconscious and was treated at the scene prior to crews taking her to Boulder County Hospital.



The woman’s name was not immediately available and it is not known whether she was wearing a helmet.
