BRECKENRIDGE – Brandon Tucker of Newburgh, Ind., was found dead in bed early Tuesday morning. Tucker, 35, arrived in Breckenridge Saturday to ski with friends.

According to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson, Tucker was unconscious and not breathing when he was discovered, and he was brought to

St. Anthony Summit Medical Center by ambulance.

The cause of death is unknown; an autopsy has been ordered.

Longtime friend Brandon Hayes – also of Newburgh, Ind. – said Tucker grew up skiing in the mountains, and he made an annual ski trip to Colorado every year.

“Breckenridge was his favorite mountain and ski town,” Hayes said. “When we were teenagers, it took us two hours to get down a black diamond on Mary Jane because we slid down it on our butts. Great memory. We would always take one day off of skiing (for) a snowmobile up to the summit. Those were great times as well.”
