4-H shows support for Virginia Tech survivors

• Summit County 4-H Supports Virginia Tech poster – A poster for will be available for 4-H kids to sign and express their thoughts and feelings at all of our 4-H club meetings next week. The poster will also be in the 4-H office for families to stop by to write a note. The poster will be sent to the Virginia Tech Student Center at Virginia Tech at the end of next week. Virginia Tech is Virginia’s land-grand university, thus providing 4-H research, and educational outreach programs to the local communities throughout their state.• Hokie Spirit Memorial FundThe university has established the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund to aid in the healing process for their students and faculty. Summit County 4-H is collecting funds for this memorial to help with grief counseling, memorials, communication expenses, comfort expenses and incidental needs for Virginia Tech students and faculty. To donate, write a check to “Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund/VT Foundation.” Summit County 4-H will mail the collected funds with the Virginia Tech support poster at the end of next week.To mail your own check, send to: University Development (0336); 902 Prices Fork Road, Blacksburg, VA 24061.
