4 students from Summit County receive Knights of Columbus scholarships
Four students from Summit County were awarded scholarships through the county’s chapter of the Knights of Columbus Council, a national Catholic fraternal organization.
The students include two Summit High School graduates, Mia Jimenez Molina and Nellie Luis Benitez, who will both be attending Colorado Mesa University in Grand Junction. Two more scholarships were awarded to two current students at the University of Colorado — Emilio Esteban Fernandez who attends the Boulder campus and Jack Doyle who attends the Colorado Springs campus.
A fifth scholarship was awarded to Mary Doyle, who is active in the Knights of Columbus Council’s parish in Summit County and is currently completing her senior year at Bishop Machebeuf, a Catholic High School in Denver. She received the group’s top scholarship award of $1,000.
