400-acre wildfire burning in northern Colorado

LIVERMORE – A 400-acre wildfire is burning across brush and grassland near the northern Colorado town of Livermore, about 15 miles northwest of Fort Collins.

Five fire departments and two single-engine tankers were fighting the fire Sunday afternoon.

It was reported late Sunday morning. There was no immediate word on the cause.



No damage or injuries have been reported, and no evacuations have been ordered.

At 400 acres, the fire is slightly larger than 1/2 square mile.
