COPPER MOUNTAIN – A 54-year-old man from Beamont, Texas, died late Friday night after collapsing while in his room at Copper Mountain, according to Summit County Coroner Joanne Richardson.According to the Coroner’s report, the circumstances are consistent with natural causes, but an autopsy has been ordered due to a varied medical history. Because of many medical conditions, it could be several days before the autopsy is finished. The decedent has been identified as James Cook, a veterinarian. Cook and his wife arrived to Summit County on Thursday night.”He came up to altitude with many medical conditions, and we know how that often goes,” Richardson said. The death was the 41st in the county in 2007, down from a record 70 in 2006.
