A-Basin Red Ball Beach Bash set for Saturday
ARAPHAHOE BASIN – The 6th annual Red Ball Beach Bash is set for Saturday at Arapahoe Basin Ski Area. Sponsored by the Summit County Rotaract, this year’s event will benefit the Keystone Science School by helping send kids to camp this summer.
According to Rotaract president Kristin Lee, participants can purchase tickets starting at $5 to win money or skis – numbered red exercise balls will be rolled down the High Noon Run at 3:45 pm. to determine the winners.
The first-place winner will take home $1,500; second place wins $750; and third place is a pair of handcrafted SkiLogik skis.
Red Ball Beach Bash commemorative T-shirts, Budweiser in commemorative cups, and tickets will be sold at the base area from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Boo Daddy, a high-energy funk and rock band will be playing from noon to 4 p.m., and a DJ from KYSL will be onsite from 10 a.m. to noon.
