A-Basin to host Oktoberfest this weekend

For the second year in a row, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will throw its annual Oktoberfest party on Saturday, Sept. 14, at Mountain Goat Plaza.

FRISCO — For the second year in a row, Arapahoe Basin Ski Area will throw its annual Oktoberfest party Saturday, Sept. 14, at Mountain Goat Plaza. Don your lederhosen and enjoy live folk music by Those Austrian Guys, Paulaner beer and food.

On the menu are traditional dishes such as knockwurst, pork schnitzel sandwich, apple strudel and potato salad. For $15, guests can get a custom stein and one Paulaner beer.

Food is available from noon to 4 p.m., and the band will be performing from 1-4. Oktoberfest is also the only day of the year the mountain offers free scenic chair lift rides, which will happen from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visit ArapahoeBasin.com for more information.
