A farewell to summer

As snow dusts Summit’s mountain peaks, we look back at some snapshots of summer. While the Ice Bucket Challenge helped to support ALS research and gave many locals a chill, the season for dumping buckets of ice water on your head is soon ending. There are plenty of ways to enjoy a Summit County summer. For locals that can mean hiking in search of wildflowers, watching three little piggies run a race, summiting a 14er or just enjoying the outdoors. Whatever your pleasure, as winter approaches and you break out the ski wax, take a moment to marvel at this unique place where each season can be fully appreciated.
